I had this problem when a football hit my rt nut and it went into my inguinal canal. The little sod wouldn't come down on it's own or with a friendly Dr trying to push it. Had an op. Uncomplicated recovery but the stitch coming out from the testicle is still the worst pain I have ever had. My wife is currently pregnant so all in good order!

I'm sure everything will be find. The undescended testicle is being corrected early enough, so the chances of it being permanently atrophied are small. I bet your son will never know the difference.

Do come back tomorrow and post a comment so we know everything turned out well.

Don'tworry he will be fine. My friends son had this operation and he is great now. Remember all mens testicles can retract. Just look at Samurai Warriors they could retract at will as a defence mechanism. All will be well.

relatively common. This is a minor op, I remember one of my school pals had this done . I think they quite often wait to see if they will descend on their own. With them doing it now, it means he won't have to take time off school.

really this is a minor op and he won't suffer any emotional trauma. You'll probably find the hospital are really good about visiting times and won't enforce the rules too strictly.

Aren't undescended testicles called ovaries? Doesn't that mean he's your daughter? Oh the wonders of answering a question with a question...
