I have a 12 year old son who is being bullied by a 14 year old in the same neighborhood. This boy has two older brothers that are also bullies. Obviously they have no respect for elders, because they have talked back and even cussed at my husband. Their father has been know to get in fights with other parents when confronted about his son's. The parents just don't care about their kids behavior. My son is afraid to go to the park in fear of running into this kid. The bully has even told my son several time that he was going to kill him. Yesterday the bully grabbed my son by the neck and shook him while calling him a little ***** and saying he was going to kill him. As a mother, I want to protect my son, with out going to jail for kicking this little _hits _ss! Any suggestions taking all things into consideration?

The only way going about this kind of behavior as a caring mother is to contact the school. Find other parents in the same dilemma with this family. Tell the administration that they have a student that harms others. It probably happens at school too. Ask around. School conselors?
Meanwhile, tell your son to go to the park with other boys his age. Together they can use words to stop this child.

Like father, like son--- he will grow up to be a sad, sad, little boy. He bullies others to hide/secure his own problems. Find out if his father abuses the child. If you witness anything, contact authorities. This kind of behavior is intolerable.
Avoid the dad.
Good luck.

my suggestion is hire a body guard for your son. i got the idea from an old movie called the body guard. that way the bullies will back off your son and you will have piece of mind knowing that your son is protected. i suggest getting the toughest guy on the sports teams .i dont like to use this method but sometimes you have no choice in these matters to take things in your own hands when dealing with bullies!!!!!!

Dont take this lightly! ,talk to a school counselor . church deacon and the community police person, no one should nbe afraid to go out! We all pay taxes, Take your son for karate lesons and have his father if there is one spend much time with him ,or an uncle a male of trust. We canot stand by any longer and put up with bullies , the killings in our schools are being done by the victims as their last recourse of being re peatdledly traumatised. The best to you and your family. Blessings.

Okay, this is a redneck answer, but since I'm a redneck it's all I know. Get a bigger teenager to take care of it for you...one who is under 18. I have two teenage sons. One is over 18 now, but my younger one is still expected to take care of business if any of his little cousins get picked on. It's the way things are done in the hills.

involve the police. at least inform the police about the baehaviour of these teens and the ignorance of their parents. most police take this matter seriously since teens of today are the future killers and thugs of tomorrow. it is best to teach those punks a lesson now and give their parents a lil dose of reality and a sample of whats to come if they kids don't get in check. good luck!
