Winnie-the-Pooh (1926) is the first volume of stories about Winnie-the-Pooh, by A. A. Milne. It is followed by The House at Pooh Corner.

Well, everyone mentions the correct author. There is another possibility to consider. To me, "When We Were Very Young" is really Christopher Robin's story--what he sees. And given the fact that there is a WE in the title, you could make a claim for the writer of the story as Christopher Robin, while the author is of course A.A. Milne. An alternative theory, perhaps.

A.A. Milne. And it's much better than the Disney version, as much as I like it. And it was inspired by a real bear, named Winnie (short for Winnipeg) that was the mascot of a Canadian amry troop during WWI.
