What kind of job could you get from a degree in Government or Philosophy? My brother in law has a degree in government and he gets paid by the hour. As for the philosophy, I know a few people majoring in that so I was wondering.

Government and philosophy, are what I like to call "useful liberal arts degrees" of course I say that with a halt dose of sarcasm.

In both cases you will have to get some sort of graduate degree to have any sort of decent job with these two majors. I have a degree in International Relations, which is very similar to government. I went back to school and got my teaching credentials and now I am a high school social studies teacher. Many of my classmates went on to law school, MBA or business school or got higher degrees in Public Policy and now work for the Federal Government.

Good luck.

you should not bother yourself with that stuff it not of your business unless it the field you want to go in . if you are looking for a job try to find something that you like to do and pay the bill at the end of the month ,the money is not that important the more you make the more you spend anyway
