You are more fertile now than you are at any time in your life. Pulling out is not birth control because the tiny amounts of "stuff" that can come out during arousal have more sperm than normal.
If you don't want to become pregnant again, you need to be responsible and use real birth control.
You can get pregnant BEFORE your six weeks is up (if you're having sex that is) and breastfeeding is not birth control. You CAN get pregnant while breastfeeding.
The only way to not get pregnant is to not do it. Other than that, use protection.

Im not 100% sure but I remember hearing that the time after having a baby you are extra fertile... if your bf didnt finish inside the odds of you getting pregnant are there but not very high at all. But you can get pregnant again so be careful.

Of course you can but you can also prevent it as I'm sure you know! I was always worried that I was pregnant after I had my daughter I was on birth control but still thought every little sign ment I was pregnant! LOL You should try condoms or birth control just to make sure you dont get pregnant again...unless you already want another?

As an RN and a mother of 5 my answer is absolutely yes! Once you have expelled your child your body is ready to ovulate and can be impregnated as soon as one week or less after you have delivered. Be careful and safe now instead of later when you find out your pregnant again. Good Luck!

You can Absolutely get pregnant!
Of course, the sperm would have to enter inside you but you are usually most fertile after just having a baby. Odds would also change if you were nursing.

You need to talk to your dr. about birthcontrol. you absolutly CAN get pregnant again after 6 weeks.
It onlt takes about 6-8 weeks for all of the pregnancy hormones to leave your body, and your natural birthing hormones resurface.
You can have children that are less tan a year apart from eachother.

Yes..you can get pregnant after your post-partum period.
The best is to make a pregnancy test, and so you will be sure. But the best of all, is to wait until your first menstruation after the partum, so you can have a right control of your fertil days.

yes it is possible. 6 weeks pp is only to help your body heal from the trauma you just put your body through with labor and delivery. also its not likely you can get pg without him going inside. (possible, but not likely) after delivery you have to wait for your body to start ovulating again. which could happen immediately or could take even years if you are breastfeeding. once you body starts ovulating again, then you have to worry. are you breastfeeding? have you had a normal period yet? those are thigns you should be asking yourself

yes you can get pregos like 2 weeks after you have a kid. That's what happened to my sister in law. They obviously didn't listen to doctors advise on the 6 week thing. And there is a posibilty if he pre-ejaculated in you. Get a cheapy test it wont hurt anything.
