Yes! I once assumed that the Republican Party believed in good government, that they could be good stewards in public service.
I no longer believe this. Republicans don't believe in good government, a government by the people and for the people. They will destroy good government with misfeasance, malfeasance, misinformation & deceit if they are entrusted with our public affairs. They sell what should be our democratic public institutions to the highest corporate bidders and the lowest of social interest groups (e.g. fundamentalists & plutocrats).
Republicans don't believe in good government and they prove it every time you elect them!
They take from the middle class and the poor through taxation and redistribute this via corporate welfare to the ultra-rich.
The American people should never make the same mistake again. Don't elect any Republican to public office!

I truthfully could, and characteristic. i began existence as a Republican, then I went to college and grew to develop into extra liberal. Then I examine Ayn Rand (and some different issues) and now i'm extra Libertarian. As a Libertarian, i'm in a position to agree and disagree with both political activities on a type of topics. I used to love George Bush, yet after watching him for 6 years, i do not anymore. per chance this isn't actual for all those who debates on web pages like this, yet i actually examine what human beings say and picture about it. as an get mutually, the brilliant polarization exhibited the following isn't something i became conscious of (i have been living in yet another united states of america for more effective than 4 years). i understand this is difficult, yet attempt to be really a lot less cynical.

My views have changed some. I have always been a conservative. There are some things that I do agree with the Liberal side on though. That didn't always used to be....not sure I would attribute that to Bush though. It could be that I have a family now and my views have just changed based on my particular circumstances.

No. On a few issues he comes into agreement with my views and on many issues he falls short. I don't think we ever had enough of a response to 9/11. I like his tax policy but the creation of Homeland Security, most of his spending policy, and his immigration "reform" agenda have fallen far short of anything approaching my views.

bush a fiscal conservative i just don't see it. no i am still a fiscal conservative as far as the pro life and marriage stands as far as i am concerned those are state issues. one of the big problems with the federal government is they are getting involved in things they have no right being involved in. give the power back to the states.

Well Yes I am a Democrat because of my parents. I did not really rely on the rich party system to help us poor folks and working classes. I always felt the Republicans had the silver spoon from birth so they did not feel us in the make due beans and rice category. NOW Bush makes me feel that he understands Religious values. He understands America as a melting pot of races. He did not view the war well but if you find the Election process did not give us a choice on the war but 911 did not give us a choice. I support him as Our President and the Religious Values of No free choice for abortion or gay rights or marriage of same sex couples and No clones of the human kind.
It makes me feel better that he is in charge right now...

No, I have always felt that we should be conservative in spending money and using our resources. Any party or politician that does that should have our vote. Our most precious resource is people. We should do all possible to insure that they are educated, employed, and have good health care. The strength of this country is the people. We can do anything if there is good leadership. "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself" and another bad president or party. Hope the American people will clean house.

I had a healthy distrust of government after Vietnam!
I have absolutely no trust in government what so ever after Bush!
Bush is defending big business! Why doesn't the oil companies, who are raking in Trillions, pay any taxes?

No, but watching the Democratic party being taken over by the far left has just strenghened my belief in conservatism. But sadly I see very little conservative values being followed anymore. Just smaller doses of liberalism being impliminted in our daily lives.
