Should paedophiles be castrated?

Should we forget about human rights for paedophiles and chop off their pathetic little penis? In the UK they get treated like they are the victims and I think this is appalling!
Also any other good ideas of how to deal with these perverts is more than welcome.

Only one person has pointed out that this is actually an illness, a compulsion, it is not always a sexual preference per sec. Some paedophiles claim that they didn't want to be with the children but rather the children wanted to be with them (this can be their mind set). For other's it is the power of being in charge - which may have not been the case in earlier life. then there are those that like young people. In additon to this, in some countries there is the view that going with childrenmeans you are less liekly to get HIV. Plus penetration is not always they aim, you can still do an aweful lot of harm physically and mentally without any genital. So yes they need help, yes they need to be put away from society where they could do harm, but no they do not need castration in the same was that violent non sexual offenders do not need theire hands or feet cutting off. It is open to opinion as to whether this illness is curable - and very hard to decide when that point is reached.

yes, along with rapists, much tougher sentances required, some of the sentances they get compared to the life long sentance the victim and their families suffer is pathetic. Just read an email about a sherriff in Arizona who has been re-elected again. Makes prisoners sleep in tents, serves up 40 cent meals which they have to pay for, stopped TV then found they had legal right to it, so cables in Disney & the weather channel! Prisonners have to work on chain gang... and when heat reached 111 were allowed to stay in their tents, after press complained he said the army was in the iraqi desert in full battle gear defending liberty and freedom, why should prisoners get treated better! Sounds like this guy is try to deter criminals from returning!!! Everyone has rights providing they keep to the rules of and laws of the country, break the laws.... loose your rights! sounds fair to me!

Definitely,it makes me sick when dick 'eds talk about these perverts human rights, what about the rights of those children? No child is safe while these *astards are about.Shoot the lot of them but 1st have a 7 foot bloke built like a rugby player abuse them, and then the parents off these children can each have a go with hammers.

I don't think castration is the answer. I do think keeping pedophiles either locked in jail or away from children is the best answer--until we find some other, better answer. Unfortunately, we still know too little of ourselves as a species, and how to prevent such things from happening.
Ireally wish I had a better answer for you, but I don't. Perhaps one dy, we will.
One thing we are doing right is keeping track of registered offenders. Perhaps pedophiles should have a computer chip inserted in their skins, so as to be able to track them more easily.

I would chop their penis off with an axe and then proceed to chop their hands off so they couldn't touch another child again,I would glue their feet together so they could never approach a child again,and then I would either cut their tongue out to stop them ever being able to utter a single word to a child again,or glue their lips together and if human rights are to be applied tube feed them through the nose for the remainder of their sorry lives..

Definitely. Although poetic justice exists now. When pedophiles go to prisons they get molested by other guys. Castration involves the removal of the testes via surgical,or chemical method not the penis. Castration renders the man, infertile because it interferes with the production of testosterone.

These offenders are registered in a database as sex offenders. and upon release, the neighborhood is notified of his existence. Also as condition of their parole,they are not alllowed to be near any children.

Castration (either removal of testicles and both tesicles & penis) has been demonstrated to have no effect on paedophilia or any other sexual desire. The desire is psychological/mental and they will continue to behave as they do unless treated with drugs and therapy. These options are, however, expensive, which is why governments won't fund them. The answer is relatively easy but the politicians we vote for won't spend our money to make changes.

I reckon that castration is too good for paedophiles. i think the best thing to do is put them somewhere public and have a public beating with no recriminations.

they could have a roadshow going from town to town where people could turn up and pay a couple of pounds to a charity for the chance to turn the face of these sick people into varying different shades of black and blue.

there could even be a prize for anyone who gets a knockout with one punch. i for one would go to every show.

I watched one of these late night debate shows once and there was and ex-paedaphile (if there is such a thing on there).

He literally begged the authorities to castrate him and the end managed to get it done and he said that it was the best thing he had ever done, it took away all the feelings that he had for children.

I am not saying that it is not wrong, but they cannot help what turns them on, it is just the same as those who prefer large women or homosexuals, it is just the way they are made.

That is not to say that they are not wrong to act on their urges, just try and look at it from another perspective
