I purchased the new SPT cold air intake and heat shield for my 04STi and it is great. It is also covered under the Subaru Warranty. Gave me about .1 of a second off my 0-60 time

Buy the Cobb stage 1 power package. It's a better investment then a CAI. Then you can upgrade to the stage 2 which is the up-pipe and downpipe. Just that alone will provide you with a 60hp increase. Sme other things you can look at are a turbo-back exhaust.

YES it helps with performance and it also will make your engine sound a lot better. it will get a great deep tone when you accelerate. it also should give you a 10% increase on gas mileage. i suggest going with a AEM.

heck yes. did so with my STI......and it makes a HUGE difference performance wise.
