Well take a look at our History, and you can see the mistakes that has been made in trusting a Human, at least with an Animal you know where you stand.

All depends on the animal or human. Has this animal or human harmed others in the past? If so, I would not trust it. If it's not been known to harm others, I would trust the animal.

Animals behave instinctively, so you know where they are coming from. The answer has to be animal although you don't say exactly what you mean by trust. I can trust an animal to behave in the way that it normally does, but that could involve attacking and killing me.

Animal, I have a beautiful dog, she never lets me down, is always glad to see me, never expects anything off me or in return for the affection she shows, totally loyal and never demanding, I would gladly have her any day to most humans I know, I trust her 100% and sorry I really cannot say that about my so called friends.

Animals don't lie so as I can read their body language and facial expression and can see written all over them how they feel, what they want and what they intend to do next it makes them easy to get along with and trustworthy.
I realise that many people have an agenda so take longer to trust people than animals.
I don't know which I'd trust 'more' though.

No human has ever wanted to devour me.
Many animals would have, given the chance.
Animals are for food and sport.
If I shot someone, I would not cook them afterwards.
I trust no human would do that to me therefore I would trust humans more.

Neither one is predictable enough to trust more than the other. Trust comes down to relationships: if you relate better to animals, then you will trust them more, and the reverse holds true, as well. The answer is entirely subjective.
