slope = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) = (4-(-4))/(-4-10) = 8/-14 = -4/7

two point method for finding slope.
x1-x2 = 10 - (-4) = 14

y1-y2 = -4 - (+4) = -8

slope = x/y = 14/-8 = -7/4
