My sign language teacher.
I was set on not learning...to hell with them all...
go screw yourself...those were my thoughts....I was 20.
He had the patience of a saint, didn't give up and to this day I thank him for that.
I wasn't blessed with the natural ability to connect to people ,didn't have it to become a SL teacher...but I made out ok...i'm doing fine.
Thanks Mr. Harrison.

My role model was a women project manager. She knew what she talked about, she was articulate and didn't miss a thing. She was miles ahead of her male coleagues. I worked closely with her, in a different capacity. We were co-workers and I looked up to her because she handled things like I wanted to. At that time I still lacked some confidence and experience and she became my role model as well as a great friend.

Serious answer (as opposed to my usual BS). There have been many people in my life that "took my under their wing" or mentored me. All of them were role models. All of them worked hard, were honest and were willing to share their ethics and knowledge with me. I believe that no man or woman can succeed without the influence of people that can lead them in the right direction. The hard part is to allow them to do that. Humility and respect are key. There are times, many times, in life that you have to accept that the other person has the answer. Always question, mind you, but be prepared to acknowledge that YOU may be wrong. Therein lies the opportunity to acquire wisdom. And never forget the debt that you owe. The only way to pay it back is to mentor somebody else. Do it. You'll feel great.

That they were real. Had struggles like everyone else. Had good days and bad. They fought hard for their dream and never gave up, even when others said it wasn't worth it!
