I mean, isn't that what income taxes are, Fines for people who are working? I understand fines for speeding, and stealing, and cheating, but is it ethical to Fine people for waking up in the morning and going to work?

Talk to your congressman and senator. Better yet, become one or the other. They impose and spend income taxes. Aren't taxes really about providing a better place and life for all? People have wressled with this question for eons. The answer to that question lies within each tax payer. You can actually structure a life to avoid paying income taxes but I take it you are like me and not 5% of the most wealthy in this world.

Someone needs to support the politians so they can lie, steal and life in luxury like most hard working Americans can not. And then they even have the nerve to vote themselves raises. Someone once asked what the worst thing on a woman was, and someone else said a polititian.

It's not a fine. It's the price you pay for not living in anarchy. Taxes suck. But fending completely for yourself with no utilities, roads, law, schools, transport, food, etc. would suck more.
