Since this is in the Atlanta section, I will answer based on Ga. Law. You cannot smoke in most restaurants, there are though some exceptions. 1: If it does not allow minors in it, 2 if there are 2 seperate enterances with the smoking and non smoking dining rooms totally seperate and sealed from each other. Also, no minors in the smoking dining room.

Depends on the city. More and more are imposing smoking bans anywhere people eat, although some cities are drawing the line at places where more than 50% of gross receipts are from food (as opposed to alcohol).
Orlando's restaurants are smoke free.

JohnrKlinger was right. I would like to add that in some of the surrounding counties and/or cities have their own restrictions, that allow no smoking in any public building, and some do not even allow smoking within 20 feet of the entrance to a public building (like Athens). Most all of the counties go with the state law, like John stated.

Smoking is banned in all enclosed public places in my city of San Francisco and I suppose all of California. Laws vary across the land, but many places are becoming more strict...as well they should. There are many people who cannot stand smoke at all. It can send some people to hospitals. Anyone who insists upon doing something that harms others so much should be in jail.

Earlier this year or late last year Georgia passed a law stating that there is to be no smoking in a public building. Im sure there are exceptions to the law, bars, patios ect.

I don't know what "people aloud" is, but I know that you are not ALLOWED to smoke when it says NO SMOKING on the wall, Einstein.

It just really depends on the resturant. But usually they have a smoking and non-smoking section
