The only thing that I do is make sure that I have exfoliated well and my skin is clean with a anti-bacterial soap and I am not cold. I have been told that it could be a couple of things that could cause the bumps. In grown hair, being cold or there is a little bacteria. Make sure that you wait until you have been in the bath or shower for a few minutes before you shave so the skin is wet and warm, and don't let a lot of time go in between shavings. I shave everyday and I don't have a problem.
If all that doesn't work, then you could get a waxing, electrolysis or maybe doing the permanent laser hair removal.

try Nivea (for men) sensitive shaving gel. It works the best and also try Gillette Sensor Excel (for men) for a razor too. You can tell I use all my husbands stuff but since I started I don't get those bumps anymore. Also, make sure the bathroom is warm because if you get the chills while shaving you'll get a rash too.

Don't shave against the grain. Shave across the grain or along the grain.
Use an after-shave gel.
Try a hair removal creme instead.

wash first very thoroughly with an anti-bacterial soap. Use a new clean razor. When you have finished shaving use an unscented antiperspirant over the area. Works every time.

rub the area with a cotton ball soaked in alcohol. Also, there is stuff they sell at Walgreens and CVS for that. I use Zero Bumps by Sally Hansen. It works pretty good, but it smells a little strong.

There is a special kind of shaving gel for just this purpose. Or don't shave, use something else like wax or Nair.

Hey! So this happens to me it's Ex-tremely annoying. I would say that you should def. try to exfoliate before shaving. and make sure to use a a clean new razor. If that does not work you can always try waxing it's cleaner and it lasts longer

the best way to stop the bumps is to get rid of them during or after a shower, when your skin is still soft. its basically razor burn. use soap or shaving creme to make it softer. do not dry shave that area (or any other area for that matter) if you want to avoid rashing.
