It draws you up into the air, like a mile high, it seems, then you free fall for most of it and then the ropes catch you and you soar back and forth over the park before haulting. When you stop at the top from being pulled up, you have to pull a cord to start the drop.

we are from California yet have been vacationing family in Kentucky this weekend and we went to the Kentucky State common. It includes Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom and we've been able to flow there as area of the common and it become awesome! we are curler coaster finatics and to have the potential to flow to a Six Flags park and characteristic it no longer be as crowded and the rides be oh so greater lifelike (limitless for $20)...i presumed it become great!

at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom it is called a Sky Coaster and I got pictures of my son on it over the weekend =)

There are actually a couple of rides that could fit your description, but based on the last portion of your first sentence, and the entire last sentence, it sounds like Skycoaster.

Im not sure what it is called there but at Kings Dominion it is called the Extreme Sky Flyer..

I don't know about the one in Texas, but over here in Chicago it's called the Daredevil Dive.

Its extreme sky flyer at KD....don't know texas though! They're fun but expensive things...
