In my opinion, kids should be doing their own homework....not asking people on line for answers!

How will they really learn?

I agree with you on that point. It pointless getting people to answer questions for them. Because when they sit an exam they won't have a clue how to answer the questions because all they do is copy from the Internet, and at the end of the day they lose out. Any teacher is not a fool to know that their students didn't produce the work they where ask to do. Get way to catch them out after class is ask the to write essay on such a subject and hey the teacher will see the different in grammar, spelling etc.

Naw, it's kind of fun for those of us to see what they're asking and some sound so desperate! I try to show how I'm doing the work for math problems and I know no one should lean on this source to do their homework. Those that ask to write their essay should back off and go do some research on their own--no way would I ever do that sort of thing for anyone. Kids need to learn to ask their teachers for help if they don't get it.
They will really learn like I did, read and use the brain (if you have one) and I did my own work, I did not cheat. When test time came I could breeze through because I knew the material and I saw those who couldn't and thought it was a shame.

I feel that it can be good, if the people don't give the answers, but rather help the person doing their homework through the steps, as a tutor would.

Not everyone has a parent at home to help.....it should not be abused however. Maybe the answers should be for them to research themselves. But you can type any question on the Internet and find the answer.

it's an interesting question. the forum's titled, "homework HELP", not, "answer key", but i almost can't blame 'em for tryin'. they're learning SOMETHING, after all - how not to do their homework. this has life applications, but will also, undoubtedly, blow up in their faces, at some point. can it hurt to point them to references they may not know of (though i can't help but think they know of 'em)?
