how to save msn messenger emiticons?

I wanna format my computer but i have aloooot of emiticons so i cant send them all to my friends so i can retrieve them later... and i cant formate because it took me alot of time to collect them plzz guys help me i need to format soon

They are all stored in a folder with an index. You should be able to copy them.

Burn everything you want to save onto a CD or DVD (or floppy(s) if you don't have a burner). Then reformat.
