1. It's generic. You can tell by listening to a song if Led Zepplin or Pink Floyd are singing a rock song. Any R&B artist could sing any R&B song and you wouldn't know who was singing it. 50 Cents could rap Lose Yourself and you wouldn't know it was him. The lack of effort gets a thumbs down from me.
2. The singer can't sing. That's why I don't like Nirvana or Jessica Simpson or evenWitney Houstin or Mariah Kerry (which hit note, but sound like injured birds than humans).
3. The words are irritating. It can be a political statement I don't like, words that make no sense (Who Let the Dogs out, the Milkshake song, Smells Like Teen Spirit).

Amazing song- thought-provoking lyrics, good beat, good singing, overall good sounding.
Sucky song- bad singing, off-tune beat, stupid lyrics.
But it all depends on a persons prefrences.

AN AMAZING SONG IS A SONG THAT KEEPS THE SAME BEAT TROUGHOUT THE WHOLE SONG AND DOESNT FEATURE ANYBODY IN IT...A SUCKY SONG IS A SONG THAT STICKS WITH ONE BEAT AND THEN TOTALLY SWITCHES TO ANOTHER AND IT JUST RUINS THAT SONG!
