Some of still do it and without being so young anymore! Sacrifice in the name of love has been going on for centuries(maybe even longer). It's all worth it in the final scheme of things. You can sacrifice long-term success for short-term pleasure, or you can sacrifice short-tem pleasure for long-tem success but then, how happy would you be? Choices, choices...
Have a great day!

I ask myself that all the time. Last summer I started taking a nursing class. It was only a month long and I was right at the end of it and I missed a final exam just to be with my useless ex bf. I still regret what i did and I had to work my a.ss off to catch up with everybody else. I guess at the time when we do stuff it seems worth it. I always say that 20 years from now i would rather say "i lived life and partied" then "I worked hard and made lots of money".

well, cuz we're young an innocent.. we dont think about consequence or understand it the way adults do. Well, at least for me, when I was younger I didnt even think about tomorrow. All that mattered was today, I had no responsibilities so I didnt care..
LoL now look at me.. I've got a kid, an I worry about anything and everything.. And now, Im living for next week!! Im always thinking ahead now.

It is good to be young and a pleasure-seeker. You will suffer from it later, but you will eventually be a winner in your middle ages as you get over all of your suffering. You will use your youthful pleasures to bring back your youth in your middle ages.

Age makes no difference in this. I have met quite a few older people who does the same.
Youger people do not have experience. Adults ussually learn by their past mistakes.

When young, you live in the moment.
It is when we realize our own mortality that we think of the future.
