Would you like to fit in? What would happen for being yourself? does fitting in with them makes you comfortable or would you prefer to be your own man?They call you misfit probably because you do not hang around with them. do not wear what they do, do not talk their lingo.
As long as they do not hurt you physically and you feel good about what you do to yourself, why should it bother you being called misfit? You can stop them by not reacting to it. Accept them for what they are. Talk to them with confidence that you are what you are and you have no problem with them being different. If they do not want you to be around them so be it but if they come to you for some friendly reason welcome them with smile. someone may even take you for not being snobbish or plastic to them.

Pardon the expression but screw 'em. Look down a list of the greatest people to have ever walked the earth ... they were all misfits of one sort or another.
