I have been asked to post a picture so that someone can look at an item I have, how do I set them up a link. I'm not quite computer literate yet, can anyone help?

You need to give more info.
If you have a Yahoo 360 account you can upload pictures to it.
Easiest way may be to just send them the pic by email, if you've got their email address.

Where is your picture stored? Presumably on your hard drive, probably stored in the 'My Pictures' folder.

You say that you want to post it so that 'someone' can look at them (or it??). If it is just one person and one picture, the easiest way is to email it to them.

Suppose your picture has been named 'My Cat'. Find the picture in your file and right click on it. Select copy. Now go to your email program (probably Outlook Express). Compose an email to your friend and then insert the pictue by going to 'Edit > Paste'

Only one snag - if your picture is large and either you and/or your friend only have a dial up connection it will take ages to send!

If you have loads of pictures and want to send them to loads of people or allow the whole world to see them, please let us know.

Forgive the pun but there's more than one way of skinning a cat and the method described above is not the only one!

Your question was unclear! but simple way is to use freehost, like sharemation.com, freehost.com etc..., for example by www.sharemation.com you can also put username and password on your images.by this way just some people, and some of your friends could see them!
