Go into the Tools then go into Options. Select the file types tab, and then unclick CD File.

In Windows XP click START , then RUN... On the command line that opens in the little window type: msconfig
It will open a new window called System Configuration Utility. Click on the last tab called Startup.
UNtick anything that you don't want to start when your computers starts. There are a lot of unnecessary programs that start and run slowing down your computer without you even knowing it.
When you are ready, click Apply and restart your computer.
One last TICK on the window that will pop up after your restart and then you are free of all that annoying stuff. Good luck.

Well when it did that to me there is an option that it says to use windows media player to edit or w/e and there should be one that says take no action. Click take no action, check the box that says use this answer everytime, then click ok.
Hope it helps.

You could press the shift key evertime you insert a music CD. There are other ways but it involves going into the Windows registry, which isn't recommended as you could mess up your computer.

You could uninstall it.....if you don't want to use it at all.
That would probably be the easiest. I have done that with both Real Player and Media Player.

Buy a real CD player. Then you won't have this problem.
