Not from Limewire, but from some files I downloaded through limewire. But my AV Program made quick work of them.

Yes!!
I just got slammed about a week ago.. it was bad. This trojan was designed to add a whole bunch of extra files onto my computer (I mean 100's and 100's), and it also disabled all of my spyware, and anti-virus programs too.
I can't think of the name of it, but it took about 2 days of work before I got my computer working right again.

when u use something like limewire or whatever like morpheus etc you run a VERY high risk of catching viruses from the files you are downloading.

My sister got a worm, not a virus. slowed the computer down as it tried to send itself to everyone in her address book. She doesn't use file sharing software anymore.

I haven't, but I've seen some stupid people who had. They tend to do something like try and download a movie and download a fake movie that's like 860kb or something like that, and catch the virus. How stupid can someone be? How would a movie be that small?

It happened so fast, I'm not sure. I was logged on to lime wire, but my virus protection caught it before it could do any damage.
