I'll be traveling to London from USA and not sure what to bring for my friends.

Some of the best presents I've had from the States were seedlings and plants. My brother bought back Joshua Tree seeds and citrus and palm seedlings. I also got some native American pottery which was beautiful.

I wouldn't recommend any sweets or chocolates (with the possible exception of the yummy Reeses Peanut butter cups!) because European sweets and chocolate are generally far nicer.

We can get many American items here in London, though, it's usually much more expensive than buying it in the USA. If your fiends are Americans living in the UK, they would likely like items that they can't easily get here, including some food items that are not in the supermarkets here. You could make a "Missing the USA basket" with items like:

- Kraft Dinner
- Nestles Choc Chips (to make Toll House cookies)
- Bagels (real bagels aren't available here)

If your friends are British, they won't know (or probably like) those food items, so you could get them something to remind them of your home state or city. Or, you could take them out to dinner here to Hard Rock Cafe at Hyde Park Corner (to experience American burgers).

How about some southwestern jewelry? Current American books because it sometimes takes an extra 6 months-1 year to publish in England.

Paper products cost more in the UK than here.

There is nothing you really cannot get -- rather reverse -- ask what you should bring back to the US.

You can always bring a $100 -- that is always a tasteful gift.

Otherwise guns are outlawed -- but they are probably not very hard to get either.

At second thoughts .. maybe something personal, like pictures of your family, or something which is local to where you live....

Lol - not a lot! You'd have to bring some kind of American curiosity - like that spreadable marshmallow!

I would like: Oreos, Fluff (that marshmallow stuff), Grahams Crackers, leather goods, erm... any weird local curiosities like food stuffs or stuff that's manafactured specifically from your area, jam (I think you call it jello?) Calvin Klein merchandise.
Thank you

What state are you from? If there is some distinctive local product that would be thoughtful.
