Yeah, in about 9 months if a head begins to come out down there, you should go to the hospital....I think

Maybe stupidity is a sign...seems like a lot of women get really stupid when they think they might be pregnant!

As you already know, you can not know for sure until you take a pregnancy test. I work at a health care center as a social worker but I work primarly in the obgyn area. I had the same question at one time and I was told that most women do not even have any true symptoms of being pregnant until at least a few weeks to a month into the pregnancy. However, some but not all can have any of the following symptoms early on such as increase in appetite, or throwing up, crying more than normal or flying off the handle easy. Unfortunately there is no clear way to know for sure this early. Just be sure to avoid any type of alcohol or drugs in case you are...

There is really no way to know before your period is due. Some tests guarantee accurate results 5 days before you are due. In my case I knew almost immediately because I started having to go to the bathroom a lot right away and after about two days, I was thinking "gee, the last time I felt like this, I was pregnant". Sure enough, when the time came and I did a test, I was. But that was my third pregnancy, and everyone experiences it differently. When its your first, there's no way to know how pregnancy will manifest itself in YOUR body.

As hard as it is, you should really wait till you're late to take a test. It's most accurate that way. Being tired is usually the very first symptom, but you wouldn't normally feel this until about 10 days after conception. I If you start to feel more and more tired, it may be a good sign :)

1. take an over the counter pregnancy test (try the test out anyway even if you are not due until the end of the month)
2. visit your gynaecologist
3. if you skip your period and you are pretty regular at your menstrual cycle
4. some other signs: soreness of breasts may or may not happen and feeling sleepy all the time.
5. fyi: hair and nail growth being accelerated happens a bit later.

Go to the doctor. You can too test yourself though, almost as soon as you think you're pregnant if you get the right test.

If you're really curious what you might feel, I'll tell you, but keep in mind I'm pretty sensitive to the way my own body feels.

*mild nausea
*hot flashes
*anticipation/nervousness (comes and goes)
*bit of abdominal pain, twinges (depends on how your uterus is situated, I think.)
*sleepy...your eyes might feel heavy and hurt too...prenatal vitamins will help.

You might suddenly have the clearest or worst complexion ever. Your appetite might have some changes.

Well, start taking prenatal vitamins, pregnant or not. It's good for you (and baby) if you're the sort to accidentally get pregnant. especially. Make sure you're eating properly. Lay off the Little Debbie stuff.

Good luck.

On personal experience i did a pregnancy test before my period was due and it showed i was pregnant. My symptons were like i was coming down with something and sore tender breasts and tiredness and is sometimes hard to tell at this early stage of pregnancy as you have the same sort of symptons as if your starting your period. If your period has'nt started i would do a pregnancy test to put your mind at rest but worrying about it might stop your period coming too.

I think the only way to tell is to get a pregnancy test at the pharmacy. you can do it as early as 5 days before your period.
sometimes I feel tired, sleepy, have weird dreams, my boobs hurt and Im not pregnant so don't listen to things like that
