Definately! It is too bad that television is a catalyst for so many bad things in our society now, so if it could bring out something good.....I would also recommend it for friends to try.

Well, what happens to the children after the five years? I never like this kind of trade-off but if the question is whether or not television is more important than taking care of the world's inequities of course not. But I use television because of isolation as a widow and it helps provide companionship that I no longer have. I would rather be informed through television and try to be proactive in advocating for many people to support the world's hungry... Perhaps this would result in more than 1000 children being helped.

not really, 1,000 is not a huge number in the big picture. I would rather just try and raise the money instead of giving up tv for 5 years, just seems easier.

Absolutely! I pretty much gave up tv during college anyway, because I was also working full-time, and had no time for tv. So it definitely isn't that hard for me. And it would be worth it for those children. I'd do much more if I could.

Yes. I do watch television but I could live without it for this good cause.

Yeah, I dont watch much tv anyway. So no big deal. I'd rather read.
Yeah, I'd even give up my home pc I think.
Cant give up the work one, I'd never be able to do any work.
