All this stuff about different accounts eg personal, premier, verified are all various PAYPAL accounts..NOT EBAY!
You have probably reached your limit with Ebay for selling fees.
NEVER EVER supply credit card or any other banking details when they are asked for out of the blue. Send an email to Ebay & await the reply before supplying any financial details. They take ages to reply but be patient.
Take my advice sign up with paypal. I personally don't think their fees are high..at least you can ring them here in the UK & know for certain who you are giving your financial details to. I set up all my financial details with Paypal over the phone & by me ringing them.
They can help you with problems like the one you have now immediately over the phone aswell as help with non payers etc.
Paypal's tel number in the UK is 08707 307191

The most likely answer is that your listing and final valuation fees have exceeded your maximum account level AND there has been a problem with eBay accessing your linked bank account for payment of fees. Thus they could have limited your listing to limit their liabilty in case you can't or won't settle.

Two possibilities occur:

1) send a one-off Paypal payment to eBay to reduce your indebtedness. Do this by following your account links in yr myEbay area.

2) e-mail customer services and ask them to provide the reason why your listing ability has been frozen. They should be able to advise why the link between yr eBay A/c and Bank A/c is not working, if they can be bothered to reply!

The one-off Paypal payment route would probably be quickest and the amount sent would be off-set against the amount you owe in fees anyway; you could be on-line again this evening with a bit of luck.

If you are paying eBay through direct pay or monthly payments, you have a "credit" limit of $25. If you'll check your account balance in My eBay, I think you'll see that you owe eBay pretty close to $25. You'll need to make what they call a one-time payment, or wait until eBay takes the payment out of your account, before you can list again

If you have recently opened your account with ebay / have a low rating, Ebay will restrict the amount you can sell or buy. This is just their attempt at controlling the scammers & dishonest people flooding the market with rubbish & dissapearing with too many peoples money.

Once you have a high rating I don't think there is any restrictions.

Log into Ebay and go to http://forums.ebay.co.uk/forum.jspa?forumID=7 (the Q&A forum - and ask the experts there).

You can only accrue up to £15.00 fees unless you have a direct debit set up.
Put a direct debit in place against your bank account (the e-bay sellers page explains how to do this), and you can increase the fees you owe.

i think its because you are only allowed to receive a certain amount of cash before you need to update ur information......its the same if ur buying stuff........if u have earned over £1000 for example, u need to update to become a buisness account i think

Your best bet is to send the message to spoof@ebay.co.uk as it may be a spoof e-mail. E-bay never ask you for your credit card details as they already have them. If it is a spoof, e bay will e-mail you back telling you so.

i think for the best response you should directly email ebays costumer service.

they would know whats wrong and why your debt card isnt working. Although im pretty sure a checking account is alright too, but make sure with THEIR costumer service rep.
