at your adult dance class, and what kind of clothes and shoes should I wear on my first class?

when you're just starting out (first few days) wear something comfortable, doesn't matter what. Once you learn what range of motion and what type of motion is required, you'll be educated enough to select your dance clothes. Also, you'll see what other people are wearing and perhaps buy something similar.

What do I think of new male students in my dance class? Nothing, usually. I mind my own business. If I don't have a dance partner, I think might he be a suitable candidate, and if no I don't look at him anymore. (I dance ballroom)

if its a serious adult ballet class, u should wear a white shirt and black male ballet tights, but if it isnt, u can pretty much wear anything u want as long as you will be able to move in it, and u wont get too hot-have fun, ballet is awesome
