Yes, and I read from the newspaper in Thailand about the dog farms that cater to Korean customers. The people in North Eastern of Thailand are very poor so this dog business help them sustain their incomes because, the areas where they live do not have enough water to grow food. The Thai people do not eat dogs, but they export dog to Korean people. The Chinese do eat dog also beause dog meat helps them feel warmer in the body during the winter time. I do not want to offense anyone I love dog and cat as my best friends. However, the Korean and Chinese not all have been eaten dogs for a thousand year and it is the custom in which the Western world do not understand why.
I think the Chinese as well as the Korean would eliminate the dog cu sine during the Olympics game because,it is P.R. for their countries.

In korea the practice of eating dog meat is very common .It was stopped by some during the olympics so as not to offend those of western cultures that were visiting the games .The dogs were kept in small square cages and they could be bought openly in market places ...horrible i know but thats the sad way things are

I don't know about carts at the Olympics (especially seeing as how it's held in a different place each year) but I have a friend who lives in Korea right now, and informed me that he'd eaten dog for the first time. It was similar to fatty, chewy beef, he said. But they serve it there.

I don't know about during the Olympics but we were studying the eating habits of humans on the earth. It was said that all animals have been eaten by people. French love horse meat.
Asians eat everything from dogs and cats to rats and gofers.
In the south they eat squirrels and rabbits, racons to turtles.
I supose that no animal is safe from human consumption.
Nor is the way they kill them anything close to humane.
I think everyone should be a vegetarian.

(usually out of the way alleys and no advertising about it or even putting it on the menu)Eating dogs and cats is common in Asia though I never saw it out in the open when in Korea for 2 years. Animals are animals and many eat meat. I do not eat meat. It is not that I have concern for animals but concern for my health.

what kind of meat do they serve the dogs and cats off those carts? That's really nice of them to care so much about their animals.

I spent 29 months in Korea! I doubt if they banned it country wide!

When I was there Koreans would eat dog meat, but they would not kill dogs. If they were road kill they would eat them!

People do strange things when they have no money and are starving to death!
