I didn't notice a difference in my hair, but my nails were AMAZING during my pregnancy! They grew so long and strong like they never had before. Some people say it's because of the prenatal vitamins, but I'm not sure. After my baby was born my nails started breaking again. =( My hair also fell out in handfuls about 6 weeks after delivery, which is pretty common.

I've never heard it as being a major symptom of pregnancy though. There are usually lots of other symptoms you would notice before your realized a difference in your nails. Are you taking any new medications or even just vitamins, or have you changed your diet at all? All of those things can make a difference. It could be from alot of different possible changes in your body.

If you've missed a period and think you may be pregnant, take a home pregnancy test or go see a doctor. That way you will know for sure!.

You probably wouldn't be seeing all of these symptoms if you haven't even missed a period yet. The hair and nails increase is generally from the prenatal vitamins and sometimes the hormones, but you wouldn't see a change yet unless you were taking vitamins. I would wait until you miss a period and then take an early response test-good luck!

Yes they can grow faster while pregnant. But that doesn't mean you are pregnant.

Hair and nails grow faster at different times of the year. You're diet may have changed recently, your activity level, so many different things can change the way your body reacts.

If you think you are pregnant though, take a test or call your doctor for a test.

Some people say that happens with the full moon. But if you do turn out to be pregnant make sure you take your pre-natal vitamins that the doctor will prescribe for you. If you think you're nails and hair are growing now, you'll be slightly surprised at how they will grow with pre-natals. I would even recommend them if you're not pregnant and want your hair or nails to grow.

Well, your nails and hair grow fast during pregnancy usually due to taking prenatal vitamins. Not just due to pregnancy itself. I don't think you can assume pregnancy just because your hair and nails are growing. The human hair goes through 3 cycles. First it grows, then it falls out, then it doesn't seem to grow at all for a while. Yours is probably just in the growing cycle.

1st take a test to see if you are pregnant.
Prenatal vitamins make everything grow faster and the hormones help your hair and nails too, but it is mostly the vitamins.

Take a test and see, but if you do not even know if you are pregnant, you are probably not that far along pregnant so that will have nothing to do with it.

Hair doesn't grow any faster or thicker, but it just doesn't fall out like it normally does. Hair usuallyl falls out after a certain time. This changes when you are hormone charged!
