I have become a personal assistant for a music artist that is well known.. I was wondering what exactly does a personal assistant do besides book shows and promote...

Also I was wondering what salary I should ask for

They should have gone over this with you, or you ask them. But you pretty much do the grunt work. Such as, getting them coffee, running their errands, setting up appointments, etc... And you should ask what your salary is, but don't make it sound desperate.

Sorry, but your story doesn't hold water. Who would hire someone as a personal assistant, when the person applying for the job didn't even know what it entails? And how do you already have this job, but don't know how much you should "ask" to be paid?
If this person is really a professional music artist, they will need someone who knows what they are doing. They don't have time to teach someone how to be a personal assistant.
Either you are talking out of your ***, or someone has totally pulled the wool over your blind eyes.
If this is the case, run as fast as you can.

Who interviewed you? How can you have a job if you don't know what to do? You should already have a salary in mind BEFORE you apply for a job. Didn't the interviewer discuss any of this while in your interview? I don't know how you can have a job like this, especially if the artist if well known. Highly unlikely.

a personal assistant is more like a mother over a child you do everything the only difference is you get paid for it...I wouldn't of accepted the position if you didn't know how much

If you got the job you should know what you suppose to do as an assistant. the salary is up to you and whoever you working for.

Just about anything... and salary coincides with that...

So it can be the best job ever... or the WORST.

A PERSONAL ASSISTANT DOES NOT BOOK SHOWS.
THEY TELL THE BOSS WHEN ITS MOM'S BIRTHDAY,OR WHEN APPT.W/ FACIALIST IS.OR PICK UP CLOTHES AT CLEANERS.OR FETCH ANYTHING BOSS WANTS.MAYBE SORT MAIL.SALARY WOULD BE TOLD DURING INTERVIEW.
