Unfortunately, race is still a prevalent issue in today's society. However, your "friends" should not keep throwing that up in your face every chance they get. Real friends can discuss all kinds of topics. Time to look for a new crew to hang with. Not all blacks and latinos think that way, sweetie. Good luck and be well!

They aren't trying to alienate you. There ARE some things that you will never understand. I think you have good friends, they aren't putting up fronts or lying to you about how they feel about certain things. Instead getting upset try and listen to some of the points they try and make. Like i said before though...You won't fully understand because you aren't them, but tell them how you feel too.
Maybe you are a getting a better understanding of how they feel. Being different then the masses is hard to deal with sometimes, but instead of giving up you have to get more wisdom and learn something from your experience. Don't give up those friendships. You have to communicate in any friendship and explain how you feels sometimes. The same hurt your feeling now is the same hurt a lot of us feel everyday.

You know you may not feel some of the strife's that other races don't have to deal with. Often times people identify within their race or similarities. I hate to say it but we as humans are prejudice by nature it's just a matter of self control. I hope that you wouldn't allow that there are indubitably some differences between you and your Friends however, let them know that their comments bother you. LOL, my husband is Caucasian and I sometimes just explain to him my disappointment with in differences I encounter and how it effects me. Note: A lot of people don't notice themselves being prejudice or indifferences until they have encountered the same ordeals.

I understand where you are coming from. But, in all actuality, there is no way that you could understand. You may be able to empathize with them... but you will never experience what we experience. Thats just reality. You should tell them that it makes you uncomfortable. But, at the same time, respect the fact that there are differences. I'm black, and I will never understand what its like to be white, because I'm not.

just forget them.
fvck them!!!!!!!!!
you don't need alienation and stress.
not saying don't be friends with other blacks or hispanics but forget these particular people.
that's funny though.(not ha ha funny but weird funny)because the only black friend i've had was in the 3rd grade.
alot of blacks didn't want to be my friend because i didn't curse, smoke or drink .
they say because i don't partake in those activities, that i'm not really black.
WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i don't care anymore.
sure i have no friends and haven't had any for 13yrs but i'm sure you'll make some new ones.
and i hope they're good friends.
good luck .

I don't think they are being racist, you don't know what it is like to be of another race, if your not a minority then you have no idea what we go through, that's not being racist that's just the way it is, but if you feel like you are being alienated then maybe you do need to find new friends.

Why do they feel a need to remind you ? What kind of conversations do you all have ? Real friends won't alienate you every chance there's an issue.

that's good have friends different than you are. But you would not understand what is to be a black or latino. like i would not understand how it is to be middle eastern, asian, or white. Your race does effect how you is perceive society.
