Hey I live in Ulster County NY, and it is a small town area which is becoming populated. It is a good place to live because it is convenient to NYC, Albany, and Connecticut. There are many nice rivers and lakes. I enjoy living here. the climate is nice...pretty mild winters and pretty hot summers. Hope this helped!

First of all you should learn to use spell check before posting. I would not want to live anywhere that I could not spell.
It depends on what you are looking for. I lived in Texas for a short while ( Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, and Amarillo) I lived fairly close to the down towns. Yet I still had to keep and use a car. In NY city ( my hometown) or Boston ( My law school city) A car is more of a hindrance as traffic and parking are nightmares. New Jersey varies from place to place. North jersey is very suburban and kind of cheesy in many ways. Central jersey can be quite rural and the shore is unto itself. I do not know south jersey @ all well. Each town has an ethnic and economic identity. ( IE wealthy Italian, or Blue collar Irish) So again it all depends on what you want and what sort of work you do/ can get. Compared to Texas though, the cost of living here is very high. $1000 a month in rent is quite cheap.
