Or some of them on like $30million contracts complaining that they aren't making the most at their position...T.O. for example...he's aging...how well can he compete with the likes of Steve Smith, Santana Moss, Torry Holt, Chad Johnson, or Larry Fitzgerald now to say he should make more money than they do? I'd take any of those guys over T.O....especially since they're younger and probably worth more than he is.

$100+ million salary cap for 53 people? What's up with that? I love football, don't get me wrong, but when Reggie Bush get's drafted 2nd overall because the Texans didn't need him, what makes him think he should be paid like he was drafted first...the guy hasn't played a full game..or regular season at all yet...why do any rookies deserve that much money? They need to play the game and stop bitching about not making that extra $500k on their already $5million a year deals...assbags

I couldn't agree with you more, and I hate when people argue "they could have their career ended every time they step on the field so they are just looking out for themselves financailly". If they don't play, then they shouldn't get paid. Many people get hurt and can't work, but no one hands them millions of dollars (and chances are they had a job more important than football player).

I love football, but growing up with blue-collar routes, I hate when people "abuse" money. But I have to accept money rules human society and that's not going to change.

It's not much, but it's nice to know that Derrick Brooks (verteran OLB on Bucs) re-negotiated his contract to purposely take a pay cut so the team could keep other guys on the Buc's famous Defense (he's still getting millions, but atleast he's not whining over .2 million like some guys)

They're all overpaid relative to what they produce, but if someone is willing to pay them, you can't fault them for taking it. I don't bust football players too much, they give up the body for the money and the contract isn't guaranteed. They can get cut at any time and no more pay.... that's why the signing bonus is so important to those guys, the other money may or may not be there in the end.

Quit crying about athletes and actors because of the system and the fans is the reason why they are paid more than teachers.
