I have the same problem! I tried creams, and tanning, working out, everything, and my knees are still pretty ugly. Tanning works a little, though, maybe if you use tanning oils on your legs the scars will show even less. I just decided one day that i didn't care what my knees looked like, cuz i wanted to wear shorts! Not everything about your body is perfect, and if you do sports and get cuts and bumps, that's who you are, and other people shouldn't judge you because of it. It's those little things that make people individuals, quirky as they may seem! At least you don't have deformities growing out your nostrils, right! :-)good luck, though!

You can wear skirts that fall below your knees - these types of skirts might look great on you depending on your height. If that isn't an option you can start to try to improve the look of your knees - use cocoa butter to try to minimize scars and moisturize the skin. Even if your knees have scars on them, you should still wear a skirt - no one probably notices your knees the way you think they do.

The Cheapest solution and probably the most effective...is to wear thigh high stockings (not panty hose) and garters. To guys any girl that wears a skirt, thigh high stockings and a garter belt can have any scars are their legs and they will get a pass. In the deepest recess of the male mind, that is the ultimate...so don't be ashamed. Be proud of your knees.

Don't worry so much about old scars. Given the choice, men would rather see a beautiful woman, like yourself, in a skirt/dress than in pants. This is regardless of a few scars. Men are all dogs (me included). If any man is stupid enough to mention the scars, consider it something to talk about. At least he's interested in you and your life.
Remember that real beauty comes from inside.
Keep smiling!

Use Aloe Vera, get the real plant, its good for any type of skin, any part of your body except the eyes of course and you know what, but if you had them for years it will take time to fade away. Just feel good about yourself, And cocoa butter its good too for scars, you can also use vitamin E thats real good for scars, and aloe has that so you should really try it.

Try some of the self tanner to even out the tones, maybe it will be less noticable.
If it makes you feel any better, I play softball and my legs are always brusied up, but I still wear a skirt to work quite often :)

Do it girl. The people that are not afraid to ask you about the bruises and scars are more trustworthy. Use it for a good personal purpose.

Honey here is your chance- wintertime!
Totally opaque hose or tights and mid length skirts with flats are FAB!
Nothing getting out with that outfit.
I have really bad blue veins ( I'm so white it hurts and shows everything). SO I must wear solid leggings and tights too.
At least till the vein surgery. LOL

a dermatologist can assess the medical cause of the problem and recommend a specialist (for vein removal, scars and tats, etc.) for appropriate treatment(s). It tends to be pricy, my wife had veins "done." But I think it would be worthwhile if this is affecting your esteem.
