Fever is almost always present with strep throat, but if it makes you feel better, go see a doc. The test to determine if you have it is simple, quick and painless and takes 5-10 min.

Sure. I had it in the 7th grade and didn't have a sore throat or a fever. But I had it. Better go get a throat culture to be sure. If you started antibiotics now you would be no longer contagious in about 48 hours.

Usually with strep I feel HORRIBLE and so miserable that by the 2nd day I have to go to the doctor. The pain is really bad. If you're not in too much pain then it may just be something else, like drainage.
