I wish it was (I am ttc)!! I think you're right about it seeming to be contagious, though. In my office, there are 6 women who are pregnant, anywhere from 12-36 weeks (and two are due within two days of each other). This happened about a year ago too when there were about 5 women pregnant (and the wives of three male coworkers were pregnant as well), all due within about 3 months of each other. Every single baby born was a boy too! For awhile, the running motto in the office was "don't drink the water" because it seemed like someone was announcing a pregnancy every other week. Even though pregnancy might seem contagious, in regards to workplace pregnancies, it's pretty normal for there to be several pregnancies at once, especially in a big company, if the majority of women are of child-bearing age (which is hard to get around in most companies). In my office, where there are around 125 employees, I can count the number of males and female employees over 40 on two hands. So, there's bound to be a lot of pregnancies when 90% of the employees are between the ages of 22 and 40 or 45. Even still, 5-6 women being pregnant at one time still seems like a lot...especially when you are trying to get pregnant and it doesn't seem like it's ever going to happen for you!

In my work place of 15 women 5 got pregnant within 5-6 months of one another (3 at the exact same time). 4 had girls. I think it was that we were all of the child bearing-year-age and that working together everyday, our cycles timed out together!

I think that there is definitely something. When women that are around one another alot, i.e. work place, school, etc. they usually get pregnant around the same time. I've heard that this is why some schools ask that pregnant girls that are in high scholl attend another school or a school that is situated with others in that predicament due to other high school girls watning to be that way. It something that I heard once. But in my opinion, yes it is somehow contagious.

I do think pregnancy is contagious. Babies are beautiful things and I never realized how bad I wanted one until all my friends were pregnant, I didn't do it because they were though.Young girls do it for the attention, but not for the right reason or with the right person.

Well, where I work, there were two ladies pregnant and were both 3 1/2 months. Then I found out I was pregnant and I am 3 weeks behind them. Then two of my friends became pregnant after me. So...

Yes, I think it is. It seems like when one woman gets pregnant at an office, suddenly 3 or 4 more turn up pregnant. We used to joke at my last office that it was something in the water.

Since when a group of women work close together their cycles become insync and theri menstural cycles are very close to the same time as eachother.. that is why it seems like it especially more so when the women are of child bearing age. I have seen the same thing in my daughter's school there are a ton of preganant mother out there, at the same time.

I think so - when I was pregnant, so was my sister in law and then she had 3 cousins on her side of the family get pregnant. So we had 5 babies born to the same family in one year!
