I'm looking for true deep dish pizza. Not just thick crust, but true chicago-style which is similar to an actual "pie" in which the toppings are much thicker than the crust. Think of a pumpkin pie where the crust is the pizz crust, and the filling is the toppings ( sauce, cheese, pepperoni, etc). True Chicagoans know what I mean.

I'm from Chicago and now live in Tucson, trust me when I say no one here can make a Chicago pizza. I have to have them shipped from Chicago. There are a couple places that come close and one of them is Zachary's Pizza and they have 2 restaurants in CA one in Oakland and one in Berkley. It is a deep dish pizza that is very, very close to authentic Chicago pizza without being in Chicago. Enjoy !
