Marriage is a committment - and it has to be made by BOTH individuals, or it never will survive.

You know, some of us are excited about the idea of marriage. If you hate the thought of it so much, don't lead your spouse on, they will be very broken hearted.

This is not supposed to be a life sentence, but a wonderful journey. If you are going into a marriage and feel you are being condemned, you are in it for all the wrong reasons.

well the best advice anyone could give u about marriage would be that to stay married and make a relationship work u need to communicate and also work together through the ups and downs. oh and btw don't ever let money come between the 2 of u .

Sorry to sound negative, but i think it is nearly impossible to sustain a marriage in a state where both parties are happy and make it last forever.

I suppose my best advice would be to not jump into anything. Wait until youve known eachother for some time, before jumping into marriage. Just wait until it feels right.

It only seems like a sentence if you're not with the right person.
But it's all worth it if you're with someone you love & who loves you, & both of you are willing to work at making it work.

That's why they call it "getting hitched" ...it's like being joined together with an imaginary "yoke". If you are both pulling in the same direction, all goes well. If not, watch out!

I sure hope you meant that in a nice way. Love is only the first step, you need to treat your loved one as you wish to be treated. There must always be communication between you. Showing love is more important than just saying it... Remember these things and you will have a mate for life...

i don't agree with that... i do agree that people make it that way..but u have to consciously make an effort to Not get married until it's with the right person...the kind of person who loves and commits to u just as much as you do for them! that way, instead of being a "ball and chain", marriage actually leaves you to become FREE...free to love, and be loved, without fear of rejection, fear of hurt feelings, resentment.....if u truly love and respect the person u are with, and are SURE that they do the same for you, no matter what u will be able to get thru any problems. that way, since u are free to keep giving and giving w/o fear, u are free of the stupid games we play while dating.....

anyways, good luck to finding someone That awesome! u gotta be that awesome too...and that way u'll know what u deserve, and what u Don't. don't settle until u find someone who will do all and be all for you.... because u do it for that person!! :) good luck to u all~~

Marriages can work if both parties work at it. I think you're popular enough. Is that why you ask so many questions, to get popular?

marriage is a sentence to those who have it in mind as such. Communication and complete honesty are keys to any relationship and even more so in a marriage.
