Yes dipilatory creams can burn the skin that is why the direction tell you to TEST spot it. Nair & Veet are very strong!! I have found the Sally hansen makes a dipilatory cream with aloe and it does not burn "on me". You need to test them before you decide to do it. it can last up to three weeks depending on how much & how long you leave it on for.
However, when in doubt go for a waxing, its fast, it hurts for a moment & can last up to 5 weeks or more.

First, are you using regular Nair, or Nair face cream? If you're just using the same stuff you use on your legs you need to STOP using it immediately. That is made to remove leg hair which is much thicker than hair on your face, and is consequently a lot stronger of a product. Also, how often are you doing this? You aren't supposed to use Nair more often than once a week. So even if you are using the face cream, you can over-do it. Nair does not affect the hair shaft or how your hair will grow back, so it will look the same as it did before you started Nair-ing. However it may look thicker to you because it has been a while since you've had hair. If you have irritation with any product you should stop using it to avoid irreparable damage like scarring. Just use the epicare for now if you still want to remove the hair.

Nair takes my breath away. So I can't use it. But, yes, if you leave it on for long it can cause a burn. I think it's like 7mins max that you can leave it on. Usually works in about 5mins. When removing it you have to be careful not to rub the skin or you will get what can only be described as a rug burn rash. So lots of dabs with a cloth and splash with cool water. I find I'm applying at least a couple times a week. So every 2-3 days or 3-4 days. All depends. You will know what's good for you.
I use Sally Hansen Spa Gel Hair Remover for the body.
It works great, is cheap and widely used in professional spas. It has a cooling effect when applied.

I have used nair and it does burn and on some people it can irritate the skin. I would recommend just shaving but if you don't want to do that. try waxing it may hurt but it will only be for just a minute or so. and will be well worth it when you dont have to worry about shaving your legs for 2 weeks

It works on thiner hair. Usually the thicker creams work better, and in my case, the Nair occasionally stings (not really a burn).

Yes it works. It smells bad. Not sure if it burns I put it on someone else, probably depends where you're going to use it. Read the directions first and it lasts a couple of weeks I think.
