yep, it takes a while but you have to make sure the "source" is connected. You can even program it to record programs you may not be at home to watch.

Of course. Any video can be captured and recorded just by putting the vcr between your satellite receiver and your tv. Well, you have to attach the wires too.

yes i did it yesterday.first of all take a cabel lead from the back of the sat reciever(video out/rf out or antenna out connection).now put the free end of cabel into the(rf in or antenna in) connection on the vcr or dvd, next put a channel on the sat reciever.now go to your vcr or dvr and tune it into the sat reciever and when u get the sat channel on the vcr or dvd store it .note this you will only be able to record what ever channel you have selected on the sat reciever.

purely set it to the line a million or LINE 2....whichever one you used to connect the VCR to.... if you attempt to record diverse channels....ignore IT ....you could not do this along with your setup....all you could do is record on-line a million enter or line 2 enter out of your VCR....and your VCR can in ordinary words output one channel, except someone is there to regulate channels even as mandatory.... you'd be compelled to get a TIVO to record diverse channels....
