If you cite Jean Claude Van Damm, then anything I have would be out of line. I'd have to say Brando. He was so good, he made the actors around him, act.

I would say Spencer Tracy ( Judgement at Nuremberg, Inherit the Wind, etc) On the female side, a close second would be Bette Davis.(Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte, etc)

What about Rob Schneider?
No seriously. I would pick Jimmy Stewart, even thought I don't think he had the best acting skills. I pick him because he was such a powerful "everyman" character. Many pick Sir Lawrence Olivier, I haven't seen enough of his work.
There are many great actors today, nobody can do it like Sean Penn, he is incredible.
Meryl Streep is my choice for best actress ever.

The best actor of all time has to be,
Kevin Spacey.
Watch him in the "Usual Suspects" and prepare to be amazed. He can pull anything off, he was even better at playing Lex Luther then Gene Hackman(and he's a pretty great actor too).

I like Elizabeth Taylor. I think she is an extremely versatile actress and I absolutely adored her in "Cleopatra". We will lose a great actress the day that she passes away.
