Because they have been told that the fact they have Faith that the earth is flat eliminiates the need for them to provide evidence to justify their belief.

People use to think the earth was flat many flippin' years ago cos they didnt know much about science back in those day. From a simple minded frame of reference the world is flat but ofcourse it aint cos ...oh u know. If people still think its flat its probably places where theres no technology or foreigners, just a simple civilization living the life they lived milleniums ago

They don't really beleive it...they are pretty much just being goofy. That nonsense about people beleiveing the earth was flat was generally not true during the last 2000 years. We enjoy thinking the were naive, but in reality the educated people knew the situation.

other still thinks it is flat because when they look on the vacant land it is flat. What they don't realized it that it area is just a small part of the earth. and the reality is that, that small part belongs to a spherical earth. That' is why when you look far on the beach you will see the horizon because the earth is spherical not flat.
