talk to your mom. find out why she doesn't want you with this guy. take her opinion into consideration and make your decision. Who knows? she probably dealt with guy like your boyfriend and don't want you to go down that same road.

Find out why your mom does not like this guy. Ask questions. I was in the same situation before and I listened to what my mom had to say and it helped but in the end I was still with him. Has your mom met your boyfriend? If not, then she is doubting your relationship, because you haven't brought him around. But, do not argue with your mom, it will cause many more problems.

I know nothing about your situation first hand, but how cool is that that your mom cares enough about you to be concerned about who you are dating?
