well me and my boyfriend just moved in and got this very great person to pay half of the rent and then he got a nother place to stay should we still make him pay rent for this month what should we do. i asked my mom and she said to talk to him but every time i try his girl gets in the way i all ready don't like her and told her to drop dead i asked her if she likes to get beat up and she didn't answer what should i do please help

Did you get something in writing regarding a lease or payment for rent? If not, you can't force the roommate to - all you can do is ask.
It sucks when people don't act responsibly, or follow through on their word. If worse comes to worse, find yourself another roomie. Good luck!

Why should he pay 50% of the rent when both you and your boyfriend are living there? I'd have bailed, too. Perhaps if you paid 2/3, he'd come back and pay the 1/3.
What are you doing threatening someone with bodily harm? If you follow through and go to jail, you won't have to worry about having a place to stay.

If he's leaving at the end of the month without paying this months rent then he owes you that. You can take him to small claims court if you have to. Other than that there doesn't seem to be much you can do other than find another roommate real fast.
