I can tell you a friends story.
He took his 2 year old Grandson fishing for the first time.
His Grandson was sitting in his stroller holding his fishing
pole. His Grandfather threw the line out.
It wasn't long before the Grandsons fishing line had a bite.
The grownups pulled the line in, while the Grandson
reeled in the reel. (How cute). When they got the
line in, there was a 14 inch Trout on the line.!!!!
Boy, was He a proud Grandpa. :-)

My grandmother and grandfather went to Canada for a fishing trip with friends. They rented a cabin which included a dock with a boat. My grandfather took the boat out early one morning. He picked a spot just off the shore in a cove. He cast his line and waited. No bite so he reeled the line. At the end of his line was a fishing pole that had entangled with his. A man on the shore witnessed this and asked "where can I find one of those?" My grandfather pointed to a spot in the cove. The other man cast his line and began to slowly reel in. Sure enough he too had got entangled in the line of another pole. I don't know that either of them caught any fish that day, but it was really good for catching fishing poles.

i was walking down the beach as a teenager"grew up in south padre island" and i noticed 3 rods set up in rod holders the one on the end was buzzing like crazy so i looked around to find the owner and nada i banged on the Van thinking maybee he was napping and nothing. There were many onlookers at this point and sisnce i was the first there this guy says well reel it in so i took the rod in my hands and set the hook with the best kung fu set i had well at this point im actually paying attention tothe water and notice a guy on a surf board splashing around in pain . Turns out he was the fisherman and was paddeling out his line, anyhow I booked at that point as he came to shore bleeding. the rest of the crowd help him from what i could see as i ran down the beach before this guy came a looking.
by the way this actually happened to a friend of mine who now is a fishing guide didnt want to take his story but it is true and funny .

I was fishing with night crawlers in a small pond close to my house one evening. I got a bite, and hooked a bluegill.As I reeled him in, I saw a shadow headed towards him.A huge bass swallowed him whole! I tried to set the hook again, but of course it was impossible because it was in the bluegills mouth.
I quickly reeled in the bluegill, and hooked him through his top lip.
I carefully set him back in the water a few feet from the bank, and I didn't have to wait 5 seconds before the big ol lunker hit again.I got the hook set this time, and landed a 9lb6oz Largemouth.I weighed her quickly, gave her a kiss,and let her go.She was bulging with eggs, and I'd like to think I've caught a few of her kids in the years since. Never saw her again though.

I went fishing with my dad, after about the 1st twenty minutes i caught a medium sea trout, about 10 minutes later my dad felt like he had something big on his line, he reeled it in and.... it was wrapped around a hermit crab ^_^

I was fishing with some buddies and I brought a long my little cousin, he had to pee so we gave him a cup for it. He asked were do I throw it. and I told him just dump it in the water.
The boat was running, he throws the pee BUT he threw it against the wind and EVERYONE in the boat got splashed with urine....

once a friend of mine and i were going fishing when we passed a heard of cattle they were all laying down he said we should just go home we're not going to catch anything, sure enough we didnt. next time we went all the cows were standing then one even took off running my friend started to speed up, i said wat up wit dat, he said they'll be jumping in the boat, come to find out he was right. after doing the research barometric pressure affects cows and fish.
