a lot of people live with their parents because liviing expenses are so darn high! fortunately i was able to get out. don't forget some are domestic caregivers and some young people have parents who don't want them to leave. when i stayed home i did not really have to pay bills. i just had to finish college and have fun. i was lucky. but a lot of individuals are not going to admit this on this site. hey times are hard. every 25 yr old can not afford to live in lavish apartments or homes.

well..I am 43...and i have lived with my parents for 4 yrs now. They are 76 and 72 and in poor health. The reason I did this is...to return the kindness and love that they have showed and given to me all my life. You see, they were both very active early in there lives and now old age and disease have taken hold. I am there to lend support (moral and physical) and to do for them the things that they can no longer do themselves. I refuse to put them in a nursing home when I am perfectly capable of taking care of them. Yes, it is true...it does cut into the "dating thing"..but I have a wonderful g/f that understands...and we all sit around at times like one big happy family.
p.s. I do have my privacy and yet I enjoy the company of my wonderful parents. I am proud to call them "roomies" :)

I work with a guy who just turned 32 and still lives with his parents. He's pretty much a loser, but not just because of that.

i do.. cuz i'm asian. =T most asian parents want their kids to live w/ em after college.

now i know it's a bad idea ! hahaha.. it's helped me save money, but other than that, i'd love to have my own place. but my mother would be so sad if i moved out =T..... my sister was smart and moved to another country.
