the PS3 will probably never be $150-$200 simply because of Blu-ray that thing is the reason the PS3 is $499-$599 instead of about $299-$399.

Playstation 2 arrived on March 24, 2000. It is just now in the $100-150 range. Considering PS3 costs more, it could be 7 or 8 years before it is in that range. Depends on how well it sells, too.

when they come out with the PS4 then it might be that cheap. But it will cost you a pretty Pennie if you want to get it anytime soon I'm afraid. Maybe like 12 months down the road they might take 75-100 bucks off the price, but for the time being if you want the PS3 you will have to shell out the money or kill your Friends for their PS3's. I think it is well worth it, the PS3 cost Sony 1000.00 bucks to make so spending 599.00 is not all that bad. Plus it does so much more than play games, it is you media entertainment center.

its 499 for the version that doesnt come with much..and the version im buying is 599..i started savin a long time ago..it come with a lot more stuff..as for when it will be down to the 150-200 dollar range..probably in 10 years when sony is about to put out PS4

Well for one it isn't available for purchase yet. And as for the question I would say maybe 1 1/2 to 2 years after it has been released that's when it will be that cheap, or just go on E Bay a week after it comes out.
