Someone responded to my previous questing asking what I do when I have a real problem. I pray about it and talk to my best friends. How do you view Y!A and what is so wrong about having this one lovely category where we can all be silly?

Thank you for your time!

Nothing's wrong with asking silly questions or not so serious questions here. But I do think that you can ask a serious question and see what people say. Some people really do know the answers and will give you a serious answer or serious opinion.

I have answered silly questions... but I have answered serious questions too. At first I thought it was silly, but after I started seeing the range of questions people asked.. I started to change my mind. Some people REALLY want answers for various reasons, ask it here. For privacy, embarrassment, fo silliness, for lack of a better place to ask a lot of people. I applaud Yahoo! for starting this up!

It all depends on the problem. I've only asked a few questions here but it was with real problems. Normally I just talk with my fiance' or co-workers to vent. I don't see anything wrong with silly questions, just no nonsense crap that I can't stand

When I have a REAL problem, I do some research, ask questions, read books, etc. But not here.

Yahoo answers seems to be a joke and entertainment only and not for real answers. Sometimes you can pick up some objective insight from the some answers and sometimes you can pick out some honest to goodness experience answers. But not too much real stuff you can bet on.'

I won't ask about serious problems on here... people are going to make fun or be jerks either way. Thats not to say some people won't give honest answers, but you will have to wade through at least 3ft of BS. More fun to ask silly stuff anyway.

There is possibility that you may get a correct guidance from Yahoo Answers. A few persons would be making
a joke of the question but you may find somebody serious. What is wrong if we take a chance.

I would still ask it on here - you never know, you might actually get someone that might have had a similar experiece..

You can always weed out the morons... I'll give silly answers occasionally - but you can tell when someone is being serious...

i talk to people who KNOW me, i wouldn't ask too serious of a question on here cuz most people don't answer seriously. I like to ask general questions that i already know my answer to, i just like to see how the rest of the world interprets it, i guess i do it to try and figure out if people think like me! I LOVE this category, its great!!

so right your friends and family know you and the situation a lot better than the 40 yr old man chain smoking in his mom's basement that is giving out his advice to the masses. the silly questions are the best!!!!
