The earliest I've heard of someone getting a + on a home pregnancy test is 9 days past ovulation, but most women who are actually pregnanct will still get a - result at that point. Some even take up to 21 days or even longer to get a +!
So, yes, 6 days is too soon for a home pregnancy test. I think it's possible for something to show up on a blood test, but still pretty unlikely this early.
I know it can be SO hard to wait to test! Check out this site to help you through it: www.twoweekwait.com . It's a great resource!

even a blood test can not ALWAYS catch a pregnancy at 6 days past ovulation a blood test can catch a pregnancy 7 days past Ovulation. A early very accurate home test first responce 5 day sooner is able to catch about 46% of pregnancy 10 days past ovulation thats 5 days before a missed period 11days past it gose up to like 60% 12 days 78% 13 days like 80% the day of a missed period 99% so even with those early trst you STILL GET THE BEST ANSWER 14 DAYS PAST OVULATION or the day you expect a period. People seem very confused about how the 5 day sooner test work READ THE BOX IS CLEARLY STATES AT 5 DAYS ONLY 46% PREGNANCY WILL BE DECTECTED.

What does the box say???
If you haven't reached the "expected" day of your period, then yes it is too early. Even if fertilization has occurred, it is unlikely that the level of hcg in your blood would be high enough to register on any OTC pregnancy test. Take a deep breath and wait the extra 10 days!

Yes it is, because after ovulation IF fertilization occurred it takes up to 8 days for your baby to implant. Then after implantation your body starts producing hcg which is the hormone that pregnancy tests detect. After implantation it takes about 8-10 days for you to have a positive pregnancy test so, you are indeed early, but wait about 1.5 more weeks before you test. Good luck!

Yes. Implantation takes place 6-12 days after conception and only then does the fetus begin excreting the pregnancy hormone. Even if implantation is occurring right about now, there won't yet be any hormone in your urine for a test to detect.

yes. With a good test you can test 5 days before your expected period. Try waiting a couple more days. I know it is hard to wait but it is worth the excitement in the end!
